Mr. Thomas W. Poole, of Ponsonbv, died at the residence of his son, Mr <". H. Poole. AFP.. Duncdm Street, yester <ia v afternoon at the age of 74. after a i,hoit illness. Deceased arrived in Australia 50 years a from Mount Mellick, Queen's County, Ireland, and 12 years ago lie removed to Auckland. He leaver two sons and two daughters. The former are Mr. C. H. Poole. M.P. for Auckland West, and the Rev. W. R. Poole, of Fiji. The daughters are Mrs. F. J. Crawford, (f Fdendalc. and Mrs. P. J. Scbofield, of Melbourne. Tho Rev. F. Warner, of the Collins Street Congregational Church. Melbourne, arrived in Auckland from Sydney, by the Riverina last evening on a sis months' holiday. During his stay hero Mr. Warner will take charge' of the Beresford Street Congregational Church. It is 16 years since lie. was last in Auckland. He was then minister in charge of the Newton Congregational Church, an appointment which he held for seven years. Mr. Warner will commence his six months' ministry at Beresford Street Church on Sunday next. During his stay in the Dominion he will act as the representative of the London Missionary Society, of which body lie has been an official for a period of 22 ears. Mr. John Seabrook. who died at his residence rt Abbott's Road, Mount Eden, j on Saturday, was ore who was associated i with the early history of Auckland, j despite the fact tha*. he was not actively identified with public life. He was S3 years of ace. and was bora near London. He arrived in the Dominion in the year 1857. in the ship Kenilworth. He" remained in the Auckland Province for several years, and then went to Queensland. After visiting England he returned; to Queensland, and about five or six years | aco he came back to Auckland. In the i early days he was a prominent member' i of the High Street Congregational Church, I and later of the Albert Street Congregaj tional Church. During recent years he , was associated with the Mount Eden Congregational Church. For over fifty years he also occupied various Sundavschool positions.
