CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS DRAWS POOR RESPONSE, London, January IS. Beuter'e Amsterdam correspondent states that the German commandant in Belgium called for volunteers for service in Egypt, offering twenty days' furlough as a bait. The appeal met with the poorest response.
