BARALONG INCIDENT.

GERMANS NOT FIRED ON. AMERICANS' STATEMENTS. (Received January 11. 1 a.m.) London, January IP In reference to the German charges against the crew of the auxiliary cruiser Baralong, which sank a submarine that was firing on the steamer Nicosian on August 19, the Daily News publishes statements by two American members of the crew of the Nicosian, to the effect that the Baralong did not fly the American flag, as alleged by the Germans, after she began firing. The Baralong's crew did not fire at Germans in the water. They add that three of the six witnesses who swore to affidavits, were intensely anti-British.
