LENS UNDER FIRE. WITHDRAWAL AT RIGA. Amsterdam, January 6. A Berlin official message states: — " A French hand-grenade attack north of Lamesnil was easily repulsed. The allied artillery have been uninterruptedly shelling Lens, north of Arras. " An allied aerial attack at Douai failed, and two British aeroplanes were shot down.
