RUPTURE THREATENED. ANOONA QUESTION. Washington, December 10. A diplomatic rupture with Austria is impending unless Austria disavows the sinking of the Italian steamer Ancona. The United States Government demanded that Austria should disavow responsibility for the sinking of the Ancona, make reparation for the American lives lost, and give an assurance that such an act will not be -repeated.
