For the purpose of Laying Down the Main Thoroughfare from the Royal Oak to the Wharf in Bituminous Macadam, and for Improving the Side Streets, and for the Purchase of an Up-to-date Road-making Plant. , The Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Onehunga hereby give notice: — 1. That the Onehunga Borough Council proposes to engage in the following undertakings, namely (a) the Reconstruction and Permanent Formation of the Main Thoroughfare from the Royal Oak to the end of Quocn Street, near the Wharf in Bituminous Macadam; (b) the Improvement. Grading and Metalling of the principal Side Streets; (c) the Purchase of an Up-to-date Road-making Plant. 2. That the Onehunga Borough Council, being unable to provide the necessary funds for such work out of ordinary revenue, proposes to Borrow for (a) a sum not exceeding £9500, for (b) a sum not exceeding £12.250. and for ; <c> a sum not exceeding £1600, at a rate of interest in each case not cx- . reeding 5} per cent, per annum. 3. That the proposed security for the repayment of such loans shall be a. Special Rate of Jd in the £ on the unimproved value of all ratable property in the Borough of Onehunga. 4. It is proposed to make such loan repayable in 365 years, and to make provision for a sinking fund of at least £11 per cent, per annum. 5. That the Onehunga Borough Council proposes .to engage in the following undertaking, namely, the Purchase and Erection of Four Filters for the Filtration of the Whole of the Water Supply of the Borough and Other Districts Supplied with Water. 2. That the Onehunga Borough Council, being unable to provide the necessary funds for such work out of ordinary revenue, proposes to borrow a sum not exceeding £5000, at a rate of interest not exceeding 4} per cent, per annum. 3.
