NGARUAWAHIA REGATTA.
[BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Ngabuawahia, Thursday. G&bat interest was taken in a motion by Mr. A. Morris, life vice-president, at a meeting of the committee of the Ngaruawahia Regatta Association on Monday night to the effect that the annual regatta should not be held in 1916. Mr. Morris and M Mr \i W Fuller, sen., his seconded considered that training for rowing races W 1? ■& k * eßp m ?? y youn * men - "ho were eligible for military service, from enlisting. The chairman. Mr W. H. Oliver, <££ tended that very few of the men now rowing were of military age. Ten members had been elected this year, all under military age. Auckland and other rowing centres were in the same position. The motion was lost after lengthy discussion
