FRENCH RESOLUTION.
CONDITIONS OF PEACE. LAST OF ALL WARS. (Received December 9. 12.25 a.m.) Pabis, December 8. The French Minister for Munitions, M. Thomas, addressed a large gathering in commemoration of 1870. He said: "France will not make peace until Alsace and Lorraine are definitely re-established as French territory until our unfortunate brothers in Belgium and Servia are assured of the recovery of their homes and of complete security and independence in the future until German Imperialism and Prussian militarism are put in' a position beyond the possibility of resurrection ; until a system, founded on right and the victorious union of the allies, supported by the free adherence of neutrals, has abolished for ever the violence of war. No matter at what sacrifices, united France will push steadily forward and accomplish this end. Before the terrible obstacle confronting justice and liberty we have only one road— that which the nation in arms will open with machine-guns and cannon."
