TRADE AFTER THE WAR.
SUGGESTED CONFERENCE. PREFERENCE TO DOMINIONS. (Beccired December 8. 11 p.m.) London, December 7. Proposals in regard to steps to be taken in trade matters after the end of the war will shortly be; considered by the British Chambers of Com merce. They will probably recommend the holding of a conference between the Government and the representatives of Great Britain, the Overseas Dominions, and the allied . nations to discuss international trade matters, with a view of arranging a maximum and minimum British tariff with a preference to the Overseas Dominions and a surtax upon German and Austrian goods.
