ATTACK ON GERMAN POSITION IN EAST AFRICA.
DEFEAT OF TWO THOUSAND OF THE ENEMY

London, October 16. A message from Nairobi, British East Africa, states that BrigadierGeneral Maileson marched from MaJktau on August 14 and attacked 2000 Germans in a strong position on the River Mbuzini. They inflicted heavy punishment on the enemy with slight British casualties. The enemy's hre was poor, but they used machine-guns with remarkable skill.
It was at Mbuzini that the German flag was raised for the first time in East Africa.
