WHANGAREI MYSTERY.

[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Whang, Sunday. A man named Thomas Farroley attempted to board a launch at the town wharf bound for Mangapai a weak ago yesterday. He was ordered off the boat, however. On the following morning his coat was found in the water near the wharf, but the man himself has not been seen since.

The* police dra—ed the harbour in the vicinity of the wharf yesterday, but with no result. If nothing further is heard of the man, dragging operations will be resumed.
