GERMAN CASUALTIES.

PUBLISHED LISTS. [FROM OCR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] London*, September 1. The total number of Prussian losses published up to August 24 totals 1,740,836 killed, wounded and missing. To this be added 214 Bavarian, 184 Saxon, 247 Wurtembergian, and 44 naval lists. As the Prussian regiments form just over three-quarters of the German armies the losses of the Bavarians, Saxons, and Wurtembergers may be calculated at about 500,000, bringing the total casualties up to about 2,200,000. It should not be forgotten that* the lists are generallyover a month in arrears, so that to these 2,200,000 must be added the heavy losses incurred during the recent terrific fighting in Russia, and it will in all probability I be safe to put the total German casualties I to date to about 2,250,000. -
