RED CROSS FUNDS. NEW ZEALAND DONATIONS. A total of £881 8s 8d has been received to date for the French Red Cross Fund. This amount includes £237 raised by the concert gala recently held in Auckland, and £255 collected in Dunedin. Contributions not previously acknowledged are : £ s. d. The Consul-General for Italy has written to the Italian Consul in Auckland, Mr. Charles Rhodes, asking that the claims of the Italian Red Cross Society should be brought under the sympathetic notice of Italian citizens and others generously inclined in this Dominion. Any subscriptions forwarded either to Mr. Rhodes, Shortland Street, or to the New Zealand Herald, will be acknowledged through the press.
