CASUALTIES IN THE LATEST ZEPPELIN RAID.
FIFTEEN SOLDIERS AND +1 CIVILIANS KILLED. THIRTEEN SOLDIERS AND 101 CIVILIANS INJURED. AIRSHIP PRESUMED TO HAVE BEEN DAMAGED. London, October 14. The \\ ar Office in its official report of the Zeppelin raid on London, states that a fleet of airships visited the eastern counties and London area and dropped bombs. The anti-aircraft guns of the Royal Field Artillery were in action. On© of the airships was seen to heel over on its side and drop to a lower altitude. Five aeroplanes went up, but only one succeeded in locating the airship, and was unable to overhaul it before it was lost in the fog. Some houses were damaged and several fires were started, but no serious damage was done to military material, and the fire brigades soon got the fires under control. The total military casualties were 15 killed and 13 wounded. The civilian casualties were: 27 men, 9 women, and 5 children killed and 64 men and 30 women and 7 children injured. These figures include 32 persons killed and 95 injured in the London area.
