BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY. The arena arket was again quiet yesterday. Bank of New Zealands, new* issue, had late buyers at £16 2s 6d, sellers hold- • ing for £16 7 6d. Buyers of New Zealand Insurances offered £5 15s, and South British (ex dividend) were in demand at > 90s 6d. Auckland Gas had reported busi- , ness at 295, with further sellers at that price and buyers at 28s 93. A Sale of Auckland Gas, contributing issue, was reported at 14s 9d. In mining lines, Waihi Grand Junctions were quoted at £1 Is 9d. buyers £1 Is 3d. Inquiry for Waihis eased at the last call to 36s 6d. with sellers asking 9d more.
