NEW WASHABLE FABRICS.
Ihis season washable fabrics are likely to be extremely popular. Nearly every garment will be elaborately trimmed. L<ace, self-coloured, white, or cream; buttons of every variety ; ribbons and insets of the gown cloth, will all be in general use. Braided bunds, and bands and insets of openwork embroidery laid over the gown material for that of a contrasting colour, will be strongly featured, as will the white embroideries, flouncing*, bandings, and panels. The tunic will figure conspicuously in wash goods, suggesting the Russian blouse with its skirt, and it ill be of plain material, with an embroidery for the underskirt; or blouse and tunic portion may bo of the embroiderv with the skirt of the plain. Seldom will tunic and skirt be of like material. Although frills and furbelows are much favoured, there is a suggestion of tailoring that preserves the effect of long IiMS and simplicity. °
