WHEAT AND FLOUR.

SURPLUS IN AUSTRALIA.

QUESTION OF EXPORT.

(Received September 29, 1 a.m.)

Sydney, September 28.

Tudor, told a millers' deputation to-day that doubtless the restriction upon the export of wheat and flour would be lifted as soon as it was shown that there was a sufficient surplus that could be shipped to the advantage of the Commonwealth. The United Kingdom, however, was the only place where flour could be sent. The Ministry was assured that there was a surplus of wheat and flour,' and that a fair price would be maintained.
