Hemphill, of Parnell, -who . joined King Edward's Horse last June, r has moved, with his regiment, to The ; Curragh, Ireland. It is now attached to ■-■, the 16th Lancers, Bth Cavalry Division. Mr. F. J. Rutherford, of Auckland, has 7 been appointed to a first commission in 1 the Royal Field Artillery, and is now training at Exeter. He hopes to get to the front within the next few months. Mrs. M. M. Coates, of Whangarei, who until several months ago was senior sister at the local hospital, has offered hep services to the War Office, and is awaiting orders. Meanwhile, she is staying at .; Ripon with her husband's relatives. ;He» marriage to Mr. Coates took place previous to the latter's degMobre with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Mr. C. Arden, of Auckland, a reservist . in the Imperial Army/(R.A.M.C.}, was sent to France 011 his arrival in- EnglandHe has lately been invalided to London, and is now recuperating. V- ■ Mr. T. Harold Cotter, of Auckland, who arrived a few days ago, is -hoping , to get a commission in "the Army Corps, ~ ■» . ■■i-M
