." Wellington, September 27. | The High Commissioner, reporting from London, under date 26th ~ fast, states that according to an official communication, the French "Stormed and captured Souchez. A later communique states:-" In the Artois we maintained during •~ ~ the course of the night the positions captured yesterday, comprising the Carteul Plateau, the Souchez cemetery, and the last fortified . i. positions at the Souchez labyrinth."
