TURKISH COMMUNIQUE.

London, September 24. A Turkish communique states: " The Turkish Anafarta artillery on the left wing caused a conflagration in the allied trenches. The fire raged for two hours. The allies exploded a mine near Ari Burnu on Tuesday night, but little damage was done, and the position was soon repaired. The allies near Sedd-el-Bahr on Tuesday morning vigorously bombarded the Turkish position, the bombardment being accompanied by bomb-throwing. The Turkish left wing artillery silenced the allied guns, while the fleet on Tuesday chased three Russian destroyers from coaling ports in the Black Sea. "We had successes at Anafarta and Sedd-el-Bahr. "We attacked the enemy's trenches at Anafarta with bombs, inflicting losses. Our artillery near Ari Burna destroyed enemy trenches and sank two sailing vessels laden with timber for mines."

We reached the Serwetsche district, north-west of Kraschin. General Mackensen's advance detachments have withdrawn behind the Oganski-Jasilda Canal, before the Russian attack."
