For the services of an able' organiser the Association is prepared to pay an adequate salary, say, up to £500 per annum. The engagement is to be for a term of. two years, terminable at any time thereafter on. three months' notice in writ~'nsr. RAROTONGA. The Office of Resident Commissioner for the Cook Islands at Rarotonsa will shortly be vacant. It is desired that the Commissioner should be qualified to act as Judge of the High Court of the Islands, and the ordinary administrative duties are such as to require legal training. The Government invite members of the legal profession who have been admitted to practice in any part o£ His Majesty's Dominions, and who are prepared to accept the position, to make application in writing to the Hon. Dr Pomare. Minister in. Charge of the Cook Islands before the 31st October, 1915. The appointment will be for three years from January 1. 1916, subject to the right of the Government to terminate it by three months notice if the Commissioner fails in any respect to perform his duties to the satisfaction of the Government. Salary £700 per annum. The Commissioner will be required to reside in the Cook Islands during the whole of his term of office, unless granted leave of absence by the Governor of New Zealand.
