"WITH THE FIGHTING FORCES OF
EUROPE."
" With the Fighting Forces of Europe " drew large numbers of people to His Majesty's Theatre yesterday, both at the matinee in the afternoon and again at the evening performance. The films give an excellent idea of ;he armies of tho allies. Interesting and instructive, the value of the pictures is enhanced by the fact that they portray in colours the varied uniforms of the soldiers. The naval portion of the films is particularly interesting, and conveys a vivid impression of the strength of the world's fighting ships- " With the Fighting Forces of Europe" will be shown again to-night.
OPERA HOUSE. The current programme of vaudeville at the Opera House is a very attractive one, and there were large audiences at the matinee and evening performance. McConnell and Austin present a novel cycling act, and Pollard and Jackson are heard in some attractive vocal items. Leonard Nelson is also popular with a variety of humorous " skits" and songs. The programme will be repeated to-night. KING GEORGE THEATRE. There were well-attended sessions at the King George Theatre yesterday, when *' The Master Key,'' a strong detective drama, was shown for the last time. The various other items of the programme were also much appreciated. To-day a new programme will be presented. The chief picture will be a drama entitled, " When Fate Leads Trumps." This picture will be shown in four parts. EVERYBODY'S THEATRE. A very fine programme of pictures is being screened at Everybody's Theatre ; this week. The leading item is "A Leap in the Dark," which is the third episode of "The Million Dollar Mystery" serial story. It has proved very popular during the weak, and is very exciting. Such developments of the mystery as the picture shows provide a very interesting entertainment. The programme will ba repeated to-day. ' jf"' , GLOBE THEATRE. .- *| A very., entertaining, series of pictures comprises the current ■ programme at the Globe Theatre, which has been attended' ! by exceptionally large audiences since the beginning of the week. The popular' comedian. Charlie Chaplin, appears m a. comedy entitled "Women." Chaplin's make-up in this production is very clever, and, as usual, his characteristic and ludicrous . acting quite convulses his audience. The dramas are headed by a film entitled 1 . "Children of the Sea." Billy Reeves appears in "A Day on the Force," and a thrilling railway drama is presented ""in "Danger's Path." Ik.
