WAR PENSIONS.
PRACTICALLY NEW BILL.
STRENGTHENING THE FUNDS.
(Received September 16. 11.30 p.m.)
London, September 16.
The Daily Telegraph says the Government will introduce practically a new Naval and Military War Pensions Bill. The Statutory Committee will now show a reduction in the representation of the Royal Patriotic Corporation, while representation will be given to the Soldiers and Sailors Families' Association and to the Soldiers and Sailors' Help Society. Moreover, should voluntary subscriptions fail, the nation will supply funds ; therefore, there will be no danger of war heroes or their dependents becoming destitute. The local committees throughout the country will be strengthened.
