FORGERY AND UTTERING.
EIGHTEEN MONTHS' HARD LABOUR, [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Hamilton, Wednesday. The retrial of John Johnson on a charge of forgery and uttering at Kawhia in August, 1914, was concluded at the Supreme Court to-day. Prisoner was found guilty, and sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment with hard labour, allowance being made for the period of six months he had been in gaoL
