RESOLUTE ATTACK IN PLEZZO BASIN.

Rome, September 15. An Italian communique states: "The Austrians attempted a resolute attack in the Plezzo basin, 29 miles north-west of Gorz. They used asphyxiating gases and inflammable liquids. They bombarded our positions on the Carso Plateau, but their guns were silenced."
