DR. BATCHELOR'S DEATH.
PHYSICAL BREAKDOWN
[BE TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dckedi.v, Wednesday. The inqnest on the body of Dr. Ferdinand Batchelor was concluded this afternoon. Senior-Sergeant Dart, representing the police, mentioned that two letters had been found on deceased. One was written on August 10, and the other was hastilv written later, the date of which was not known, but it must have been written some time after August 24, because it was on the back of a letter bearing that date. The letters were those of a man who was very ill and recognised that he was broken down physically and that his end was impending. In one letter he said '* good-bye" to his family and friends. Evidently he also felt the fact that, owing to ill-health, he had been sent back from Egypt, The medical evidence showed that death was due to heart failure, and a verdict was returned accordingly.
