ENTERTAINMENTS.

"WITH THE FIGHTING FORCES OF EUROPE." The kinemacolor films " With the Fighting Forces of Europe" were presented to another large audience at His Majesty's Theatre last evening. Those present appeared to be well satisfied with the descriptive comparison of the fighting forces of the various nations as portrayed by the filin, and sections of the production were loudly applauded. The presentation of the various objects photographed in their natural colours is unique, and adds considerably to the enjoyment of the film, while -further interest is added by the descriptions of the various scenes by a lecturer. The series wilt be presented each night this week, and at a matinee on Saturday afternoon.

OPERA HOUSE. Large audiences attended both matinee and evening performances of the current programme of vaudeville at the Opera House yesterday. The artists appearing this week present an excellent and varied programme, an J their efforts have been very popular Hennessey and Martell, jugglers; Dorothy Harris, ragtime comedienne ; and ' the Butterflies are the star contributors to the current programme. The same items will be repeated nightly this week and at the usual matinee on Saturday.

GRAFTON THEATRE. The presentation of the photo-play. Iron Justice," in which the celebrated actress, Miss Tittell Brune, plays the leading part, is attracting large audiences at the Grafton Theatre this week. The drama is proving an exceedingly popular one both on account of the interesting story it presents and because of the excellent caste which takes part. A number of unique incidents are introduced in " Iron Justice" and from the first section of film to the closing scenes the audience follows the unfolding of the story with undivided attention. A well selected series of pictures comprises the supporting programme.

KING GEORGE THEATRE. The tenth episode of "The Master Key" serial story and the excellent programme which supported it were witnessed by large audiences at the King George Theatre yesterday. The usual mid-week change of programme will be made to-day when the new series will be headed by a drama entitled " The Great Court Scandal." The story of the drama, which will be presented in three parts, is said to introduce many exciting and intensely dramatic situations, while the acting and stage effects are claimed to be something out of the ordinary. A strong supporting programme is included.

ORGAN RECITAL. A recital was given by the city organist, Mr. Maughan Barnett, to a' fair audience in the Town Hall yesterday afternoon. The programme included the following numbers:"Carillon in C," Faulkes; " Communion," Devred ; " Romance sans Paroles," Bonnet; "Choral Song and Fugue," Wesley; "Nocturne in E Flat," Chopin ; " Offertoire in F," Wely ; " O Lux Beata," " Sarum Melody ;" and French dances and songs. EVERYBODY'S THEATRE. Great interest is being taken in the second episode of the photo-play, " The Million Dollar Mystery," which is the chief attraction on the' current programme at Everybody's Theatre. Large audiences attended the theatre throughout yesterday, and the building was crowded during the evening sessions. The changing scenes introduced into the story are a feature of the production. Exciting incidents, portrayed in motor-cars, aeroplanes, and balloons, hold the keen attention of the audience, while interesting dramatic scenes are discriminated presented. Merit is well sustained in the supporting programme.

CHILDREN'S CONCERT. A very successful entertainment, was given in St. Aidan's Hall. Remuera, on Tuesday night, by the children of the parish, in aid of Red Cross funds. The ball was packed, and the different items were much appreciated. The funds should benefit by about £20 as the result of the children's efforts. PICTURE ENTERTAINMENTS. A sea drama, " The Enemies," is the chief film at the Giobe Theatre. A drama entitled " Mother" heads the programme at the Princess Theatre. " The Million Dollar Mystery," second episode, appears at the King's Theatre. " Conspiracy at the Chateau" is the chief film at the Queen's Theatre. The Grand Theatre is presenting a drama entitled " The Ruse."
