COUNT BERNSTORFF CONFERS WITH MR. LANSING.
COMPENSATION THE POINT IN DISPUTE.

New York. September 13. Renter's correspondent at New York states that Count Bernstorff has arrived unexpectedly at Washington for a conference with Mr Lansing. Secretary for State on the Arabic question. The Government has decided its course of action, and the crisis will apparently be reached to-day. It is believed Germany's refusal of compensation is the key to the situation. Count Bernstorff denies saving in an mte view that it was inevitable relations would be broken off. but some officials believe the interview was published by Count Bernstorff or hi friends to bluff the Government.
