DANGER FfiOM METES. Frejiaxxle, September 2. The Orient liner Osterley, wnieh has arrived from London, had an exciting beginning to her trip. An hour after leaving Tilbury the vessel was ordered to shelter at Margate owing to German mines in the Channel. She remained at Margate for the night, and on proceeding in the morning saw a darkobject ahead. The patrol boats fired on the object, which proved to be a mine, and exploded it. The passengers were greatly relieved when the ship cleared the Channel . !
