London, September 1. Further movements of the American Exchange are reported. There was a substantial decline in the rate of exchange on Britain to 4 dollars 48 cents, but the rate recovered to 4 dollars 53 cents. Possibly more anxious days are ahead but the remedy is not distant. American bankers fear a further decline m the rate of exchange, and consequent loss of British orders . There is a renewal of the suggestions of a- big allied loan, few iorfc does not want any more gold.
