NOTE TO A MINISTER.
EXCLUDED FROM PRESS GALLERY.

Perth, September 2. When- Mr. Johnson, Minister for Lands, was justifying, in the Assembly, the Government's action in connection with a freezing works contract, he attacked the newspaper West Australian and its criticism, and referred to the leader-writer as "a journalistic bloodhound."
At a later stage, the Premier drew attention to a note which bad been sent from the press gallery to Mr. Johnson- by the West Australian's leader writer, and which read : "W. D. Johnson Yon are a doubly miserable cur and liar.(Signed) J. O. Morrison."
On the motion of the Premier, seconded by the Leader of the Opposition, the House resolved that Morrison wa3 guilty of contempt, and that he be excluded from the press gallery until he withdraws and apologises.
