5278 REPORTED DEAD, WOUNDED OR MISSING.
Only one death was reported in the casualty lists issued by the Defence Department last night, but the lists contained the names of 239 men who have been wounded. The majority of the latter belonged to the Wellington, Canterbury, and Otago Mounted Rifles, and the Canterbury Infantry Battalion. The total number of men reported killed, wounded, or missing is now approximately 5278
