A message from Mitylene states that unseasonable rains and locusts have damaged the crops in Asia Minor. The acrejige sown was only 60 per cent, of the average, and the scarcity of labour is preventing the garnering of ajl the existing cropsShould the war last till December the sowings will be still more scanty, and famine will be in sight.
