AIRMAN'S BROKEN PAROLE SENT BACK TO SWITZERLAND Paris, August 30. The Swiss Government has thanked France for its chivalrous decision to return M. Gilbert, the noted airman, who wag recently compelled to descend in Swiss territory. He gave his parole, "but later wrote withdrawing it, and after he believed that he had allowed sufficient time for acceptance he re- | turned to France. Switzerland contended that M. Gilbert was still bound by his word of honour, and I accordingly M. Gilbert was sent back.
