STOCKS AND SHARES.
BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY.
Not a great amount of business was done on the Stock Exchange yesterday, in standard stocks New Zealand' Insurances were available at £5 16s 6d, and ,buyers were prepared to give £5 13s and £5 14s. There was demand for South British Insurances at 88s, but sellers did not quote. Auckland Gas (con.) changed hands at (14s 6d). A sale of Kauri Timbers (con.) was effected at 15s 3d. Auckland Trama (crd.) were done at 21s 6d. Waihis found sale at 36a 6d. Sellers asked 22s for Grand Junctions, and buyers quoted 21s 6d. Talismans changed hands at 17s 9d, sellers closing at ISs 6d.
