ACTIVITY IN WEST.
TRENCHES BOMBARDED.
(Received August 30, 1 a.m) Paris, August 20. An official communique says that the German trenches in the districts of Nieuport and Hetsas, and on the Eastakar-Lille Road, northward of Arras, were effectively bombarded.
