I GERMANS IN FRANCE. I ONE MACHINE DESTROYED. ! 'Received A'ljruri 30. 1 a.r.i ' Paris, August 29. An official communique says that details of the air raid near Paris : state that three German machines ascended from the. Soissons district and three from (oinpeigne, but were unable to attain tluir objective They dropped a few bombs on Nogent - tiur - Marne. Montwtfreney, i Montfermeil, Ribecourt, and Com I peigne. Nobody was hurt except in j Compeigne, where two nurses and a child were killed. j Immediately the aeroplanes were! sighted they wer* bombarded from different points, and were chased by the French machines. ] The commander of one of the ' French squadrons pursued a German j machine to a height of 3iJoOyds, and I brought, it down northward of Sen- i lis. The German pilot was ineiner- ! "ated and his machine was burnt.
