MINING NEWS.
WAITANGI CONSOLIDATED. The manager of the Waitangi Consolidated mine, Thames, reports that in the intermediate level a further distance of 7ft was driven east of No. 2 pass last week, making a total distance of 17ft from the rise. The _ width of the reef taken out in the drive was Bft, and quartz was still showing in the footwall. The ore looked well and was of fair grade.
