ACCOUNTANTS' INSTITUTE.

THE ANNUAL MEETING. APPOINTMENTS AND PROMOTIONS. [BY telegraph.—press association.} Wellington', Thursday. The annual meeting of the Incorporated Institute of the Accountants of New Zealand was held this afternoon Mr. W. McCullorh. president, was in the chair, and members from all parts of New Zealand were present. The sum of 100 guineas was voted to the Sick and Wounded Soldiers' Fund. Mr. S. (J. Chambers, of Auckland, was eh-,'ted president for the ensuing year, and Mr, 0. P. Powles vice-president. Messrs. W. W. Bruce, Auckland, H. DVickery, Wellington, H. Bieknell, Christchurch, P. Parr. Dunedin, and W. A. H. Ryan, Dannevirke, were elected to the council. Mr. ('. D. Morpeth was reappointed secretary and Mr. J. L. Arcus auditor. The following were promoted from the Degree of Associate to the rank of Fellow Messrs. J. W. Oichton. Christchurch, ('- B. Robertson, Wellington, •i K. Milner, Nelson, G. E. Townsend, Wellington, H.
