Royal Lode: East of No. 4 shaft, southeast I'ross.-tit, 42ft driven 485 ft to 527 ft. value 38s per to:,. At 450 ft. cast the lode is 16ft wide; first 12ft, value 5s per ton: last 4ft. value 28s 6d Per ton. At 600 ft east the lode is 16ft wide, value 36s 6d per ton. Empire Lode: South section, driving northeast from No. 4 shah, west crosi-ut, 37ft driven, 278 ft to 31511. value 17s 4d per ton; the width vanes from Ift to 4ft. Princess Lode: intersected at 347 ft in, No. 4 shaft, west crosscut, driven on to the south 40ft, Oft to 40ft; value 8s 6d I'"'' ton; the width of the lode varies iroin 3ft. to 6ft. FOUR-IN-HAND. The new work and south intermediate levels were continued on the Cuirassier reef at the Four-in-Hand mine, Coromandel, last week, and gold was frequently seen in the ore broken down. On the Four-in-Hand reef, No. 1 level, was continued. The manager reports that enough gold was seen to warrant further work being done on the reef.
