NEW AWARDS TO OPERATE,

The effect of a decision given by the Arbitration Court to-day is to dismiss an application by the employers for a suspension of tire engineering, boilermakers' and workers' awards, except with regard tp tho stock catalogue works, and apprentices' clauses contained in the. engineers' award, on which points the employers were granted 'permission to call evidence. v : :V ' (■!'
With tho- exccption of the two clauses specified, therefore,. the awards operate as from July 6 last.
