TURKS ADMIT 180,000 CASUALTIES.
NEW MINE-THROWER USED BY ALLIES. London. July 7. The Daily News' correspondent at Athens says that advices from Constantinople give the Turkish losses on Gallipoli at 180,000. A French officer on Gallipoli writes: The allied ships have all left our shores. We have started using a small, roughly-made minethrower. The mine it throws is fitted with wings and loaded with 30 kilos- of melinite. It produces extraordinary results. One mine hurled a whole Turk into our trenches."
