NEW SYLVIA.
£1204 FROM 1028 TONS.
A telegram was received from the manager of the New Sylvia mine, Thames, yesterday stating that 1028 tons of ore had been crushed and treated for a yield of bullion valued at £860 and concentrates valued at £344, making a total return of £1204.
WAITANGI CONSOLIDATED. Reporting on the work done at the Waitangi Consolidated mine, Thames, last week, the manager states that in the western section above No. 1 pass the rise was put up a further 4ft. The ore taken out looked well, uud showed good minerals. In No. 2 level the reef was shot down 6ft. The reef showed good minerals. The ore in No. 3 crosscut appeared to be of fair grade.
NEW WAITAIA. Tho manager of the New Waitaia mine Kuaotumi. reports that last week a nice reef was showing at the south end of the nofth block, above the low level. The reef was 15in wide, and it carried good values. Good clean ore was showing in the stones north and south of No. 3 rise. above the intermediate level. Gold could be seen in tho ore.
