KITCHENER IN FRANCE.
SHOWN ON A FILM
One of the inner secrets of the war is the part Lord Kitchener is taking in the actual direction of the operations on the western front. Silence enshrouds the movements of Britain's greatest soldier, and England knows nothing of his work in this war beyond the fact that, as head of the War Office, he has bent his mighty gifts of organisation into constructing a new army out of noinmg in the space *»f a few months. It has always been assumed, however, that he has some shaie in controlling the operations on the western front, where, of course, his military knowledge and skill would he invaluable. A gleam of light is thrown on Lord Kitch cner's movements by the first of the official French war films which have beer, received in London, and are now being shown at one or two West End pictur< halls. It represents a meeting, somewhere in France, of Lord Kitchener. M. Millerand, Sir John French, and General J off it, and is of great interest. The photographs wore taken under license of the French War Office, and the French Cinema!, graph Chamber of Commerce is the body which is responsible for their presentation.
