GERMAN CRIMINAL'S END.
HOLT COMMITS SUICIDE. OTHER OUTRAGES CONFESSED DYNAMITE PLACED ON SHIPS. By Teieffraoh—Press Association — New York, July 7. The assailant of Mr. J. P. Morgan committed suicide in his cell. He threw himself from the cell door on to the stone floor, breaking his neck. The man, who went by the name of F. Holt, in a confession, said that he had placed dynamite on board the steamships Saxonia. 14,000 tons, and Philadelphia, 10,000 tons, with a view of trying to blow them up. The United States naval authorities at once got into touch with the two vessels named by wireless. The Philadelphia replied that a search had been made, but nothing had been found. The Saxonia also replied that no infernal machine had been traced on board. Holt has since been identified as Professor Erich Muenster, of the Harvard University, who has been wanted by the police since 1906 on a charge of murdering his wife at Cambridge.'
