83BD LIST: NINETEEN DEATHS FROM WOUNDS.
TOTAL OF 2850 KILLED, WOUNDED, AND MISSING.
Only one casualty list was received yesterday, the 83rd, which recorded the deaths of nineteen members of the New Zealand Experttionary Force from wounds received in the fighting on the Gallipoli Peninsula. All the men, with the exception of one, succumbed on the hospital ship Sicilia. They included seven men each from the Auckland and Canterbury Infantry Battalions, respectively, one each from the Auckland, Wellington, and Canterbury Mounted Rifles, and one Wellington infantryman. Since the hostilities openod against the Turks the New Zealand forces have lost altogether 2850, killed, wounded, and missing, of all ranks, the various units having suffered as follows ;—
