TREATMENT OF WOUNDS.

SUNSHINE AS CURE.

SUCCESSFUL EXPERIMENT. Timos and Sydney Sun Services. (Received June 22, 5.4"0 p.m.)

London, June 21.

An experiment in the open-air treatment of wounds at Cambridge has proved the greatest success. The wards are wide and open to the wind and sun. It is recognised that it is not the wounds, but the germs entering them, which kill the troops. Although 10,944 patients have bean treated, suffering from septic wounds, tetanus, pneumonia, and typhoid, there have been only 85 deaths.
