The same day the Russians attacked in the district south of Zydaczow, 30 miles south of Lemberg, and occupied the village of Rogwzno- At dawn the fallowing day we retook the village of Zurawno, on the Dniester, 10 milts southeast of Zydaczow, capturing guns and several machine guns. A party of Germans who fired after shoeing the white flag, were killed in subsequent bayonet fighting. "On Sunday the enemy continued to attack the bridgehead at Nuzniow, in Eastern Galicia, 15 miles east of Stanislau, with considerable forces and numerous guns. The Russians repulsed the attacks and captured 1500 prisoners. "Between the Dniester and tho Pruth, north of Czernowitz, the Russians retired across the east frontier."
