INTERCESSORY PRAYER.
4* — Lv conformity with a movement which was carried out by the Salvation Army-at its various branches throughout the world, yesterday was observed by the City Army Corps as a day of intercessory prayer on behalf of those who are suffering in connection with the war, and also for a speedy restoration of peace. Continuously throughout tie day, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., services were conducted in the concert chamber of the Town Hall, a different officer taking charge every hour.
