I An interesting lecture on the works of I Bernard Shaw was delivered by Professor i Maxwell Walker at the meeting of the ' Northcote AntlicniDuni last night. Mr. A. ;F. H. Harrison occupied the chair. Alter the introductory lecture, readings were i given from "The Man of Destiny, - ' ' "John Bull's Other Island,'' •'The Devil's ' Disciple,' and "Arms and the Man,' the ' respective characters being taken by Proi fessor Walker, Mrs. Frank Turner, and : Messrs. F. J. Thompson, and H. H. Hunt.
